From day trips to romantic dinners, we’ve compiled a list of top five things you must do when honeymooning in NYC.

See Another Borough
While experiencing all the amazingness Manhattan has to offer, it can be easy to forget the four other boroughs that complete New York City. Make it a point to venture to another borough for a true New York experience. For the more adventurous couple, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an unforgettable experience. As you walk (about an hour in each direction) be sure to snap unforgettable photos of the Manhattan skyline before you explore all Brooklyn has to offer. If water views are more your style, the Staten Island Ferry is a perfect way to take in the sights as you cruise on the Hudson. The ferry provides over 70,000 commuters per with ferry service between Staten Island and lower Manhattan, and enables its passengers to have a perfect view of skyscrapers and bridges as well as Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Visit Museums and Attractions
While most NYC tourists have heard of the Museum Mile, New York City is actually home to hundreds of cultural institutions and attractions. Before you arrive, find which museums pique your interests as a couple. History buffs? Check out the Museum of Natural History, Museum of the City of New York, or the New York Historical Society. Artsty? Stop by the American Museum of the Moving Image, The MOMA, or the National Design Museum. Looking for something a bit more unique? The Intrepid, The NYPD Museum, or the New York Botanical Gardens. For more adventurous honeymooners, there is even a Museum of Sex.

Stand in Times Square
While many locals tend to avoid the crowds and bustle of Times Square, it’s a must for all honeymooners experiencing NYC for the first time (just stay away from the dancing costumed characters!). The site of the New Years Eve ball drop and the locale in countless movies and television episodes, Times Square spans from West 42nd street to West 47th at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue. Second to the Las Vegas strip, Times Square is one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions with countless restaurants, television studios, theaters, and attractions. The neon lights, bright billboards and hustle and bustle of the square will intoxicate you as you explore all the heart of NYC has to offer.

Take a Carriage Ride Through Central Park
Depicted in both television and film as one of the most romantic places in the world, visiting Central Park is a must. Visiting central park by means of a horse drawn carriage is an even bigger must. As one of your first experiences as a married couple, you can snuggle under a blanket or bask in the sun as you pass by landmarks including Central Park Reservoir, the Beatles inspired Imagine Mosaic, The Central Park Carousel and the zoo. Horse-drawn carriages can be enjoyed throughout the seasons and are consistently lined up along Central park South between 5th and 6h avenues.
